Austrian Art Magazine Features New Series by Dnipro Artist

On November 15, the Austrian art magazine Spectaculum Magazine published an ironic photo series by Ilya Ganpantsura, a young artist from Dnipro, titled "A SQUIRREL ́S OPINION ON POETRY". The project was created entirely in the forest area near the Pivnichnyi residential district and the Church of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God.

In his works, the author explores the vivid, living side of Ukrainian art, which continues to exist and evolve even during the years of war. The central figure of the series is a squirrel - a symbol of resilience, dynamism, and the ability of Ukrainian culture to preserve its colour even in dark times.

Spectaculum defines the genre as narrative illustration, conceptual still life, and theatrical play. The story behind the series is even compared to a fairy tale.

The magazine also describes Ilya's work as follows:

«Behind the humour of this series, behind the playful staging, lies genuine artistic inquiry-a search for moments when imagination slips into the everyday and turns it into story» - writes Spectaculum.

The publication in Spectaculum Magazine became an important step for the artist, as it allowed him to present photo art from Dnipro as a vivid moment that continues to live even in difficult times.
