Bringing Care Closer: Men's Groups and Intensives Arrive in New Mexico in 2026
[Rio Rancho, New Mexico-October 14, 2025] In 2023, relationship and sexual addiction experts across the United States began calling the rise in betrayal trauma, infidelity, and sexual addiction a "silent emotional epidemic." While awareness of these struggles has grown in recent years, countless individuals and couples continue to face them alone-often without access to specialized care. The emotional fallout from broken trust, secrecy, and addiction is leaving deep scars on marriages and families nationwide, prompting recovery professionals and faith-based organizations alike to respond with urgency and compassion.
This growing need for support is one of the main reasons why the Becoming Well Institute, a trusted counseling and recovery organization, has announced its 2026 expansion into New Mexico and neighboring areas. The organization's new location will serve as a hub for Men's Weekly Recovery Groups and Intensive Programs, both set to begin early in the year.
The New Mexico location was chosen not only for its accessibility to surrounding communities but also because of the region's limited access to specialized recovery care. This expansion allows the Becoming Well Institute to bring essential services to men and couples struggling with infidelity, emotional disconnection, and sex addiction. It also creates new opportunities for professional counselors and community partnerships in the area.
From 2026, the new programs will include both in-person and virtual options. The Men's Weekly Recovery Groups will provide guided support for men navigating relational struggles, while the Intensive Programs will offer structured, multi-day retreats focused on rebuilding trust, addressing emotional wounds, and fostering long-term healing.
Founded on the belief that restoration is possible for every relationship, The Becoming Well Institute has become a safe place for those recovering from betrayal and broken trust. Since its founding, the center has helped individuals and couples across the U.S. move beyond pain toward renewed connection and emotional well-being through evidence-based counseling, workgroups, and private retreats.
"We've seen firsthand how infidelity and addiction tear families apart-but we've also witnessed how the right kind of support can bring them back together," said Laura Burton, co-founder of The Becoming Well Institute. "This expansion is about accessibility. We want to make hope and healing available to anyone willing to take that first step, right where they are."
Alongside offering a full suite of men's recovery programs, the Becoming Well Institute plans to collaborate with local therapists and organizations to expand awareness around betrayal trauma and male emotional health. The center's expansion will also create opportunities for certified counselors and recovery professionals to join a growing mission centered on empathy, integrity, and long-term transformation.
