Domain-Industry Wake-Up Call: NotaFee.com's No-Commission Model Threatens the Entire Industry
ST. GEORGE, UT, UNITED STATES - November 11, 2025 - The billion-dollar domain and online business marketplace just got a serious wake-up call. Since the dawn of the .com boom, companies like GoDaddy and Sedo have imposed steep commission fees on domain sellers - until now. http://NotaFee.com, the first zero-commission platform built exclusively for domain and online-business buyers and sellers, isn't here to compete - it's here to change the rules. "There is no justification for charging domain sellers 15 to 20 percent commissions," said Brad Morehouse, CEO of NotaFee.com. "GoDaddy and the other industry giants have had their fat-cow days - and those days are numbered."

A veteran domain broker since 1998, Morehouse said he's long been frustrated by what he calls "crazy-high commission fees." For years, he warned people that bloated billion-dollar companies like GoDaddy would eventually fall. "They've been sucking money out of creators and living like hogs," he said. "No longer."

Morehouse drew a sharp comparison to traditional real estate agents: "A licensed real estate agent - who must pass exams, manage contracts, and meet with clients multiple times - typically earns just 2 to 6 percent commission, meanwhile, GoDaddy, an automated website that does virtually nothing, takes 20 percent. You have to wonder how we got sucked into this insanity."

The message to GoDaddy, Sedo, BizBuySell, and Flippa is clear: adapt or die. Ironically, it's highly unlikely that these industry giants will willingly give up 100% of their commissions.

Analysts are already calling NotaFee.com's rise a seismic shift in digital commerce - one that could reshape or even collapse legacy marketplaces. The power is moving back to the true creators of value: the sellers. The question isn't if the giants fall - it's when.
