Subsea HVDC Cable is a high-voltage direct current cable system designed for submarine power transmission. Its core function is to achieve long-distance, large-capacity, low-loss submarine power transmission through direct current technology. It is especially suitable for connecting power grids in different countries or regions, offshore wind farm grid connection and cross-sea energy transmission. The system is composed of key components such as high-voltage direct current cable body, submarine connector, terminal station, etc. It uses the characteristics of direct current without inductive reactance, capacitive reactance and synchronization problems to effectively reduce long-distance transmission losses. At the same time, its insulation and sheath materials need to have high strength, corrosion resistance and water pressure resistance to adapt to the complex submarine environment. Compared with AC cables, submarine HVDC cables have significant advantages in transmission efficiency, capacity and stability, and have become one of the core technologies for modern marine energy development and cross-border power grid interconnection.

The surge in green energy projects, such as offshore wind and solar power, requires submarine cables for long-distance power transmission.
