MetaCase Releases MetaEdit+ 5.6: Expert Modeling Tool for Automatic, Deterministic Code Generation
Jyvaskyla, Finland-October 29, 2025-MetaCase announces the release of MetaEdit+ 5.6, designed to meet the growing demand for scalable, cloud-hosted development using remote shared licenses. Whether deployed locally or in the cloud, version 5.6 delivers major upgrades in scalability, interoperability, and performance.MetaEdit+ is aimed at expert developers looking to gain productivity and quality by generating deterministic, efficient, and complete code directly from domain-specific models. First, experts define modeling languages and generators in a few days, then others can create graphical models with this high-level language and automatically get expert-specified code.
MetaEdit+ 5.6 expands supports for creating and refining domain-specific languages, with automatic updates to existing models. Multiple language engineers can better collaborate, and existing languages and their type hierarchies can be easily modified - again automatically updating existing models created with the language. For managing large models MetaEdit+ 5.6 provides enhanced model refactoring tools, search functionality and support for complex filter options enabling precise model exploration. Integration with MetaEdit+ API now runs even faster, with added support for CORS enabling seamless JavaScript integration. For massive cases with multiple repositories, work has been streamlined in MetaEdit+ 5.6 with improved context-sensitive intelligence in the selection of user and project.
MetaEdit+ 5.6 reinforces MetaCase's commitment to delivering high-performance, user-friendly tools for model-driven development in modern environments. MetaEdit+ is available for trial at https://www.metacase.com/download.

MetaCase helps software teams boost productivity and quality through domain-specific modeling. Customers such as Airbus/EADS, Helvetia Insurance, and Polar report productivity gains of 5-10x. With MetaEdit+, teams define modeling languages and generators tailored to their needs, enabling automatic, deterministic code generation from high-level models. This approach raises abstraction beyond coding and ensures consistency across development.
