Wang outlined China's historic achievements in energy transition over the past decade since the forum's founding and proposed initiatives to further advance the global energy transition.
He said China, guided by the new energy security strategy of "Four Revolutions and One Cooperation", has blazed a trail for energy transition that aligns with China's national conditions, global development trends, and the needs of the times. He said that China has been resolutely pursuing green development, establishing the world's largest and fastest-growing renewable energy system; steadfastly fostering innovative development to create a new framework for high-quality energy development; and consistently promoting open cooperation to develop new models for mutually beneficial green and low-carbon energy transitions.
He emphasized that the global energy transition requires consensus-building and stronger international cooperation to: jointly establish a secure energy supply guarantee system for a safer transition; overcome technological bottlenecks for a more dynamic transition; promote a just energy transition for greater sustainability; and uphold multilateralism for a more united transition.
