The electromagnetic speed sensor is a sensor that works based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. It generates an induced electromotive force through the relative movement of a permanent magnet, a coil and a rotating part (such as a gear or a disk). When the rotating part cuts the magnetic lines of force, a periodic voltage signal (approximately a sine wave or a pulse wave) proportional to the rotation speed is generated in the coil. It can directly output electrical signals without external power supply. It is widely used in automobiles (such as ABS wheel speed detection, engine speed monitoring), industrial automation (motor speed feedback, production line speed monitoring), energy (wind turbine main shaft speed measurement), aerospace and other fields. It has the advantages of simple structure, strong anti-electromagnetic interference ability, resistance to high temperature and high humidity environment, and no need for calibration. However, it should be noted that its output signal is easily affected by temperature changes and mechanical vibrations, and for non-magnetic material targets, an additional magnetic coupling structure needs to be designed to ensure measurement accuracy.
