Toronto, Ontario - October 24, 2025 - Principal photography has concluded on the highly anticipated comedy-horror feature film, "Sorority Shark Attack." The production, filmed on location at Rice Lake just south of Peterborough, promises a thrilling and hilarious cinematic experience for film fans, horror enthusiasts, and movie lovers alike.
"Sorority Shark Attack" tells the outrageous tale of a group of resourceful university students who must band together to protect their Canadian cabin getaway from a terrifying threat: a genetically modified bull shark. This aquatic apex predator, far from its natural habitat, brings a whole new meaning to "cabin fever."
The film is penned by veteran Canadian filmmaker Bill Dever, known for his sharp wit and genre-bending storytelling. Dever's script expertly blends the thrills of a classic creature feature with the comedic sensibilities of a college romp, creating a unique and entertaining cinematic experience.
At the helm of "Sorority Shark Attack" is seasoned director David Langlois, whose extensive experience in the horror and comedy genres ensures a seamless fusion of scares and laughs. Langlois's vision brings Dever's script to life, creating a visually stunning and engaging film that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats - and laughing all the way.
"We're incredibly excited to have wrapped production on 'Sorority Shark Attack,' " said Langlois. "The cast and crew have poured their hearts and souls into this project, and we believe we've created something truly special. Get ready for a wild ride filled with thrills, chills, and plenty of laughs."
The film boasts a talented cast of rising stars including Kate Mayhew, Sarah Ircana, Elle Rose, Marc Rico Ludwig, Paul Matte, Martin Egas, Baily Antzis, and Lee Poichuk, as well as industry veteran Robert Carradine. Our three female leads bring energy and charisma to their roles as the sorority sisters facing off against the genetically enhanced shark.
The production team employed practical effects and cutting-edge CGI to create a believable and terrifying shark, ensuring that the film delivers on its promise of high-octane horror. The picture was lensed by Michael Jari Davidson.
"Sorority Shark Attack" is currently in post-production, with an anticipated release date in 2026. Film fans and horror aficionados are encouraged to follow the film's social media channels for updates, behind-the-scenes content, and exclusive sneak peeks.
