INVENTiS is presenting a high-performance solution for TETRAPOL networks. The new Performance Measurement & Investigation Tool (PerMIT-TETRAPOL) is a powerful system to assist you through any phase of radio network planning, realization and maintenance as well as in the quality assurance of your TETRAPOL networks.

Robust measurement system for field tests
The hardware configuration of the system front-end is built on well proven, PXI-bus based measurement components made by National Instruments. The measurement system PerMIT-TETRAPOL allows you to perform mobile coverage measurements in operating TETRAPOL networks. The measurement is performed on the signalling channel, optional with a terminal dedicated to the network. Advanced digital signal processing algorithms allow for robust and precise measurements both in stationary and mobile environments and are independent from any manufacturer specific algorithms. The measurements of all relevant parameters as well as generation of statistics and graphics are accomplished in software programming.

Optimized for Mobile Applications
Together with the reception level PerMIT-TETRAPOL also measures the bit error ratio to declare an established quality of the signal. For the additional determination of the neighbour cells PerMIT-TETRAPOL records and analyses the spectrum. The system is able to measure active and neighbour cells, frame errors, SNR and delay spread. The measurement system supports all familiar GPS protocols for geographical reference

Versatile applicable hardware components
Together with flexible statistical and geographical post-processing software and a user-friendly interface, radio frequency (RF) and quality of service (QOS) measurements can be carried out quickly and seamlessly. The user software allow you to manage your measurement equipment, to display the actual measurement values and also the analysis in the post processing. The system is basically developed for an installation in a vehicle. By choosing the constriction of fast, distance triggered measurements, the system can be minimized to a few components to perform the portable option.

Stationary and mobile quality measurements
PerMIT-TETRAPOL allows stationary and mobile quality measurements and guarantees speed, accuracy, robustness and versatility powered by sophisticated front-end and advanced digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms. The compact and lightweight (optional portable system) tool with its scalable hardware and flexible software, meets the customer’s specific requirements. Geographical mapping and analysis tools for network optimization ensure constant quality.
