The conference will take place on November 19, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM, at Hotel Diesel, Bucharest (113A Mircea Eliade Blvd.).
The event will bring together ambassadors, representatives of bilateral chambers of commerce, government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, academic representatives, and education and culture experts. The main goal of the conference is to create an open dialogue framework on the medium- and long-term future of education and to identify new partnership opportunities between Romanian and Indian academic and cultural institutions.
A key highlight of this year's edition will be the announcement of a scholarship program dedicated to Indian students, designed to encourage cross-cultural academic collaboration and to attract talented young people from India to pursue higher education in Romania. These scholarships will aim to strengthen educational bridges between the two nations and support the exchange of knowledge, innovation, and intercultural understanding.
"Through this conference, we aim to bring together leaders from key fields to generate ideas, projects, and sustainable collaborations between Romania and India - two nations connected by shared values in education and research," said Shiva Munjal, President of UBCCR (The Union of Bilateral Chambers of Commerce from Romania in India).
In turn, Prof. Nasty Vladoiu, Ph.D., President of UCCBR (The Union of Bilateral Chambers of Commerce from Romania), emphasized:
"Education and cultural diplomacy are essential pillars of international cooperation. Romania has the potential to become a strategic partner for India in developing joint educational and research programs that bring tangible benefits to both nations."
