New Oasis International Foundation Launches Global "Sustainable Finance for Community Resilience" Initiative Across 15 Countries

New Oasis International Foundation Launches Global

New Oasis International Foundation (NOIF), an innovative international nonprofit organization, today announced the formal launch of its flagship global initiative focusing on sustainable finance education and community-driven economic empowerment. Following its successful incorporation as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the United States in 2025, NOIF is scaling its unique "investment-to-philanthropy" operational model to communities across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and beyond.

Unlike traditional charitable organizations that rely primarily on donor contributions, NOIF has pioneered a self-sustaining financial architecture. The foundation manages a professionally invested endowment fund-seeded with approximately USD $10.5 million from founding members-whose returns are systematically reinvested into community development programmes. This innovative approach, combined with strategic partnerships with affiliated donors, enables NOIF to maintain financial independence while expanding its social impact.
"We don't want handouts; we want to build perpetually spinning gears of mutual aid," said Dr. Marcus Chen, Chief Executive Officer of NOIF. "Our philosophy is fundamentally different. Rather than creating dependency on charitable giving, we're building sustainable community ecosystems where financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and mutual support create lasting economic resilience."
From Grassroots Mutual Aid to Global Foundation
NOIF traces its origins to 2014, when it began as the "Oasis Mutual Aid Association," an unincorporated community group in Australia. Over eleven years, the organization evolved through strategic phases:

2017-2019: Established professional trust management structure with Equity Trustees (AFSL holder), enhancing financial accountability and cross-regional collaboration
2019-2020: Created dedicated investment fund for capital preservation and growth, managed separately from charitable donations
2020-2021: Launched International Network Development Department (INDD), piloting projects in Malaysia and Kenya with "HQ Empowerment, Regional Execution, Global Collaboration" model
2024-2025: Completed incorporation in multiple jurisdictions (USA, Cayman Islands, Hong Kong, UK, Brazil), officially rebranding as New Oasis International Foundation

Five Core Programme Areas
NOIF's 2025-2027 strategic framework focuses on five interconnected programme areas:
1. Community Resilience: Disaster preparedness, early warning systems, emergency response training, and post-disaster livelihood recovery supporting vulnerable communities in high-risk regions.
2. Education Equity: STEAM innovation labs for youth (ages 6-18), adult digital skills training, and senior citizen digital literacy programmes bridging the digital divide across generations.
3. Social Inclusion: Comprehensive support for persons with disabilities including rehabilitation, inclusive education, employment facilitation, and accessibility advocacy.
4. Community Culture: Digital governance platforms, participatory budgeting tools, and cultural heritage preservation initiatives strengthening community self-organization.
5. Sustainable Finance (Flagship Programme): Multi-tiered financial literacy education covering life-cycle financial planning, investment literacy and ESG education, community entrepreneurship incubation, and impact finance ecosystem development for community-led investment vehicles.
"Sustainable finance is not just our flagship programme-it's the foundation of our entire theory of change," explained Sofia Ramirez, Director of Global Programmes. "When communities master financial literacy, understand responsible investment, and can access fair capital, they unlock self-determined development pathways that no amount of external charity can provide."
