Landshut, Germany - 14 October 2025 - Author Birgit Constant today announced the release of "For Lord and Liege", Book 2 in her epic series, the Northumbria Trilogy, set against the turbulent backdrop of 11th-century northern England. Scheduled for publication on 21 October 2025, this historical novel promises to immerse readers in local medieval history with a coming-of-age tale of ambition, loyalty and courage.
Set twenty years after the Norman Conquest of England, "For Lord and Liege" follows the teen protagonist trying to find his place in life while navigating the treacherous political landscape of the old kingdom of Northumbria. By weaving intricate historical details with themes of feudal allegiance and personal growth into the story, Constant's book offers local insights into a pivotal era in English history.
