Skrivanek begins the year with new EN Certification
Prague, January 23rdSkrivanek recently achieved ISO 17100 certification after passing an audit that included interviews with relevant staff, and examination of: records, jobs fulfilled, resources available, and quality assurance monitoring activities that are routinely utilized.
ISO standards are intended to provide transparency within a recognized set of checks from start to finish for all parties on any translation job, thus guaranteeing high quality and creating trust. LSPs of any size are eligible to apply, and after an audit the auditors send their report to the Austrian Standards authority, successful candidates receive certification that is valid for six years.
In general similar to EN-15038, the ISO 17100 quality standard differs from the preceding standard in that it highlights the importance of customer interaction from the earliest communication through feedback after a project is completed.
