The Order of the Written Word Returns for Its Second Annual Writing Challenge

Montreal, QC - October 6, 2025 - The Order of the Written Word (O2W), an international writing community dedicated to celebrating human creativity, announces its second annual writing challenge this November. The challenge offers authors, poets, and storytellers a focused environment to draft, refine, and share their work while connecting with like-minded writers from around the globe.

In October, participants can prepare for the main event through The Crafting Grounds, a month-long program offering workshops, creative exercises, and in-person community events in Montreal. Writers can also connect online via O2W's Discord server, website, and social media channels.

Founded by Holly Rhiannon after leaving her position as a NaNoWriMo Municipal Liaison over concerns about AI-generated content in creative competitions, O2W emphasizes human imagination and deliberate, careful creativity. Participants can work on novels, poems, short stories, or revisions, gaining access to resources, community support, and future publication opportunities through The Stygian Society, Rhiannon's small press.

Holly Rhiannon states, "The November challenge is the highlight of our year. It's where writers bring their stories to life, push the boundaries of their creativity, and connect with a community that values human-led art. This event is a space for imagination to flourish and for authors to be celebrated for their craft."
