Boston Industrial Solutions Introduces Natron® UVPX Series UV-Curing Screen Printing Inks
Boston Industrial Solutions, Inc., a leader in advanced printing solutions, is excited to announce the launch of its Natron® UVPX Series, a new line of solvent-free, UV-curing, screen-printing inks designed for unmatched performance on the most challenging substrates. The UVPX Series is engineered for printing on plastics including pre-treated polyethylene, polypropylene, and PU soft-touch surfaces. In addition, these versatile inks deliver excellent results on PETG, PET, PVC, and a wide range of other plastic materials, making them ideal for graphics and packaging industries where speed, vibrancy, durability, and compliance are non-negotiable.
Exceptional Characteristics:
The Natron® UVPX Series screen printing inks stands out with:
- Superior printability with a glossy finish and high opacity
- High reactivity under both traditional UV and UV-LED lamps
- Excellent adhesion and inter-coat adhesion across substrates
- Strong chemical resistance to alcohol, cleaners, and oils
- Compliance with EN 71, Part III for food packaging and toy safety
- Free of harmful substances, including heavy metals and N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone (NVP)
Notably, the UVPX inks are the only UV screen-printing inks available with a full color mixing system, giving customers unlimited design flexibility and precise color-matching capabilities.
Applications:
The Natron® UVPX Series is the perfect solution for:
- Cosmetic packaging, including polyethylene and polypropylene containers
- High-speed, multi-color screen-printing machines with inter-station curing systems
Drying & Performance:
The UVPX inks are engineered for high-efficiency production, enabling print speeds of up to 5,000 impressions per hour using a conventional 80 watt/cm UV lamp (wavelength 320-420 nm). They are also fully optimized for LED UV curing systems at 395 nm. Even higher speeds can be achieved with higher-wattage curing units, giving printers the flexibility to scale production while maintaining flawless results.
Commitment to Innovation:
"At Boston Industrial Solutions we continue to push the boundaries of printing tech," said Bonaventure Mutuku, COO of Boston Industrial Solutions. "With the UVPX Series, we are delivering not only a safe and sustainable solution but also one that allows customers to achieve unparalleled quality, efficiency, and versatility."
