Double the Honor: Tree9 Films Co-Founders Nominated for Mid-America EMMY® Awards

Tree9 Films, a St. Louis video production company, is proud to announce that its co-founders, Chadwell and Ria Ruthsatz, have each been nominated for Mid-America EMMY® Awards for directing. The dual nominations come as Tree9 celebrates its tenth year of filmmaking, marking an extraordinary milestone for the award-winning, woman-owned company.

Chadwell Ruthsatz received his nomination for "Green Girls," the admissions film produced for Nerinx Hall. Directing a cast of high school girls is no small task - but to top it off, Ruthsatz also designed and built a robot to join them on screen. "We're still not sure if the robot was method acting or just malfunctioning," quipped Ruthsatz.

Ria Ruthsatz earned her nomination for "(RE)IMAGINE," created in collaboration with St. Louis Dance Theatre. The film is a celebration of artistry, movement, and vision - developed in just three days and filmed in one. The project highlights Ria's ability to take a concept from script to screen in record time while delivering a film that captures both efficiency and elegance.

"We've always focused on creativity and results, not titles," said co-founder Ria Ruthsatz. "This is a rare and fun chance to be recognized specifically for our directing."
