Pivotal Commware introduced advanced deployment tools in 2024, including Spotlight for mmWave qualification and Cyclops for broadband scanning, which reduce installation risks for FWA networks. Its flagship Pivot 5G Model 5620 now supports multiband operation across 24, 28, and 39 GHz with up to 22.4 W MIMO EIRP, tunable 100 dB gain, and low latency performance.
FRTek gained visibility in 2024 with its PrimAer smart repeater showcased at Qualcomm's MWC Barcelona demonstrations. The PrimAer series supports donor and service units over fiber, offers beam steering of ±50°, and integrates Movandi's chipsets for 28 GHz and 39 GHz applications. Verizon and other operators have trialed these systems in large event deployments.
Wilson Electronics expanded its portfolio in 2025 with the Network 260 series, designed for n260 (39 GHz) bands. The product supports donor links up to 10 km, features up to 1 GHz instantaneous bandwidth, adjustable beamwidth from ±8° to ±45°, and IP67 enclosures for outdoor deployments.
Wistron NeWeb Corporation (WNC) partnered with Movandi to release a dual-band smart repeater covering 28 and 39 GHz. It allows daisy-chaining of up to five units for campus and enterprise coverage, lowering total cost of ownership compared with full small cell rollouts.
Ubicquia advanced its streetlight-mounted repeater platform, designed for NEMA plug-in installations on LED streetlights. This form factor leverages existing power infrastructure, enabling typical 50-meter spacing at 8-10 meters height. Deployment studies indicate up to 80 percent total cost reduction compared with conventional sites.
In parallel, KDDI and Kyocera completed field development of wireless relay repeaters in Tokyo, demonstrating nearly triple the coverage of mmWave road segments and preparing for commercialization in fiscal 2025. Deutsche Telekom launched 26 GHz industrial campus services in 2024, opening Europe's private 5G FR2 market for robotics and drone applications.
