Oslo, Norway - September 10, 2025. Norwegian news agency, NTB, has entered into an agreement to acquire Live Center, the live blogging platform developed by Norkon AS. The agreement includes the transfer of dedicated staff as well as an established international customer base.

For Norkon, the sale represents a milestone in the company's journey.

"We have built Live Center into an international success, and NTB taking over is a strong confirmation of the value created. We are especially pleased that it is NTB, a Norwegian company, that will now carry Live Center forward," says Eirik Næsje, CEO of Norkon AS.
"Norwegian technology has great international potential. It's very rewarding that NTB will contribute to further growth and development of Live Center."

Over the past years, NTB has expanded its position as a provider of visual and sports data technology both in Norway and internationally. With the addition of Live Center, NTB significantly strengthens its service and customer portfolio.

"Norkon has done an impressive job in building a solid, innovative service that has already been embraced by many leading international media companies. This success makes Live Center a perfect fit for NTB's portfolio and our strategy to grow as an international provider of media technology. We are proud to become the new owners and look forward to taking Live Center to the next level together with its skilled team and, not least, its customers," says Tina Mari Flem, Editor-in-Chief and CEO of NTB.

Expanding International Reach
NTB already delivers media technology in Sweden, Finland, and the Netherlands. Through Live Center, NTB gains a vast array of new customers in more than 20 additional markets, including the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom and Australia.

"Having international customers in so many new markets is an important strategic door-opener for us. Our existing technology complements Live Center, and we see clear opportunities to create synergies across our services. This is a perfect match that benefits both us and our customers," says Flem.

For Live Center's existing customers, everything will remain the same: the team, the technology, and integrations will remain unchanged. The difference is that Live Center now has an owner committed to long-term investment and continued product innovation.

Norkon to Focus on Financial Technology
For Norkon, this marks a new chapter. With Live Center in good hands, Norkon is sharpening its focus on building world-class technology for financial news outlets and investors.

"The sale of Live Center is a natural next step in our strategy to cultivate Norkon as a leading provider of financial media solutions. We have big ambitions for the coming years, which will require a significant investment. Selling Live Center at this point in time was important to be able to drive future growth with our financial solutions. We will continue to invest in products that help financial media increase engagement among their users and build a more direct relationship with customers through personalization and AI," says Eirik Næsje, CEO of Norkon AS.

"Through our financial news platform, 'Pulse', we have reached millions of readers across Europe daily for the past ten years. We know that in the future, individual investors will rely on personalized updates from a global market running at full speed. That's why we are channeling our technology and domain expertise today to create advanced financial AI and personalization solutions for tomorrow," says Næsje.

The transaction is expected to close in the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2025.
