Case Background
The plaintiff sustained life-altering injuries after kneeling and working in wet cement during a do-it-yourself project at his residence. Unaware of the extreme dangers posed by wet concrete, the plaintiff suffered significant chemical burns that penetrated through muscle and tissue down to the bone when the caustic material came into contact with his skin and clothing.
The defendant, Ozinga Ready Mix Concrete, Inc., was found liable for supplying the concrete to the plaintiff's home without providing adequate warnings about the serious health hazards associated with wet cement exposure. Despite being well aware of these dangers, the company failed to properly inform the consumer of the risks.

The jury reached their decision in under two hours, demonstrating the clear nature of the defendant's liability and the severity of the plaintiff's injuries.
