Valencia, Spain - IoT Sparks , the international conference for IoT innovation, returns to Valencia on October 7 organized by the global technology company LORIOT. Following the success of its first edition, the event returns with an even more ambitious proposition:

Transforming The Terminal Hub into a "Living Lab" where real-time measurements will be conducted using sensors connected through LoRaWAN® technology, developed in collaboration with Milesight and Akenza.

This installation will allow attendees to experience an immersive environment where IoT moves beyond theory to become tangible practice.

Among the most notable innovations, the Living Lab will measure people flows without compromising privacy, displaying occupancy by zones through heat maps. Acoustic levels will also be recorded, allowing identification of each session's impact through audience response, while environmental parameters such as CO2, temperature, and humidity will be monitored. Through connected feedback buttons, participants will be able to share their evaluations of conferences, spaces, and services, generating qualitative data in real-time.

Additionally, a catamaran activity equipped with sensors will complete the offering, bringing IoT to the sea.

From Hardware to Data: Complete IoT Stack Explained

Milesight and Akenza won't just be providing technology, they'll be conducting this unique live use case demonstration.

Both companies will deliver dedicated keynotes explaining their contributions: Milesight will showcase the hardware sensor deployment and data collection capabilities, while Akenza will demonstrate their data platform's real-time processing and visualization features. This hands-on approach allows attendees to see complete IoT solutions in action, from sensor to insight.

The event will bring together international experts who will share practical IoT implementation cases from major corporations. Confirmed speakers include Carina Lourdes Viglietti (IBM), Dario Zadravec (Roche), , Rafal Kaja (EY), Stefania Gilli (Vodafone IoT), Attilio Somma (TIM) and many more. The program will be structured around five strategic sectors: Industry and Energy, Smart Cities, Logistics and Mobility, Sustainability, and Digital Innovation.

"IoT Sparks was created as a platform for collaboratively building the future of IoT. It is a space where both industry professionals and organizations embarking on their digital transformation journey come together. Through our Living Lab, we will offer a real demonstration of the potential of IoT, with the aim of reducing barriers to adoption and making it accessible to all types of players, even those outside the world of IoT," explains Dario Maccarrone, Chief Marketing Officer at LORIOT, and Director of IoT Sparks.

For The Terminal Hub, the event's venue and strategic partner, participation in IoT Sparks represents an opportunity to materialize its commitment to innovation and the growth of Valencia's technological ecosystem.

"We want to demonstrate that technology can be experiential, practical, and accessible. Transforming our space into a Living Lab is a way to accelerate IoT adoption and show how collaboration between companies and innovation spaces can generate real impact," highlights Quique Calabuig, CEO of The Terminal Hub.

Francesc Pons, TTH director, adds: "We're hosting a pioneering event that aligns with our strategic technology focus. It's our calling to welcome, support, and foster these types of initiatives where frontier and disruptive technologies play a key role in innovation development."

IoT Sparks is aimed at technology companies, startups, integrators, consultancies, and innovation leaders, as well as entities from traditional sectors transitioning toward digital transformation. Industries such as energy, logistics, construction, and mobility will find in the event a platform to discover real IoT applications, access strategic innovation content, explore new solutions, and establish key relationships within the ecosystem.

With support from Valencia City Council and València Innovation Capital, IoT Sparks will also feature participation from leading companies such as WIKA, Miromico, mioty alliance, Universal Alliances, RAKwireless, TagoIO, ROTIOT, Trailslight, Dragino, Concept13, Zetako, Kerlink, DecentLab, and many more.

The Terminal Hub, with its more than 5,000 m2, reaffirms its role as an active innovation agent in the city, becoming an interactive experimentation environment that drives technological development in Spain.

The Terminal Hub: The Home of Innovation in Valencia

The Terminal Hub is an innovation ecosystem that connects talent, technology, and investment from Valencia to the world, ensuring that ideas meet opportunities. This connection doesn't happen by chance, but occurs because its mission is to create an environment where ideas not only develop but connect with real opportunities.

Through a carefully designed network, it connects people, companies, and institutions where creative impulse finds community, purpose, and resources to grow. All with the help of "Hubbers": from large corporations like IBM, the Chamber of Commerce, Instituto de Empresa, or Zubi Labs to digital nomads, freelancers, or emerging startups. All, linked to technology, entrepreneurship, talent, or investment, are the heart of the model that drives a digital and connected economy shaping Valencia's future with global projection.
