Mallory Creek Plantation HOA Inc. Honored with 2025 Community Association Seal of Distinction
Leland, NC - August 25, 2025-Mallory Creek Plantation Homeowners Association Inc., located in Leland, North Carolina, is proud to announce it has been awarded the prestigious 2025 Community Association Seal of Distinction by the Community Associations Institute North Carolina Chapter (CAI-NC). This esteemed recognition, presented on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the CAI-NC Annual Conference & Expo in Wilmington, NC, celebrates Mallory Creek Plantation's commitment to excellence in governance, financial management, and community leadership.
The Seal of Distinction is a three-year honor recognizing community associations that adhere to best practices in finance, insurance, reserves, governance, and policy enforcement. Out of 15,000 HOAs in NC, Mallory Creek Plantation is one of only nine North Carolina communities selected for this award in 2025, joining an elite group of associations statewide that demonstrate exceptional standards in creating vibrant, well-managed communities. Landfall also revived this award this year. The rigorous application process requires associations to meet a comprehensive set of objective criteria, including transparent financial practices, robust reserve funding, and effective community policies, as outlined by CAI-NC (https://communityassociationsinstitutenorthcarolinachapter.growthzoneapp.com/ap/CloudFile/Download/LxXNkkYL).
"We are incredibly honored to receive the 2025 Seal of Distinction," said Nicholas Newell, President of the Mallory Creek Plantation HOA Board. "This award reflects the dedication of our board, volunteers, residents and property manager to fostering a community that is not only a great place to live but also a model of responsible governance and financial stewardship. We are proud to represent Leland and along with Landfall contribute to the high standards of community association management in North Carolina."
The award was presented at the CAI-NC Annual Conference & Expo, held August 21-22, 2025, at the Wilmington Convention Center. This year's conference, the largest in CAI-NC history, welcomed over 650 community association managers, volunteer leaders, and business partners, making it one of the largest gatherings of its kind in the country (https://cai-nc.org/2025-annual-conference-expo-marketing/). The Seal of Distinction Awards Celebration, held during the Thursday evening Welcome Party, highlighted the achievements of Mallory Creek Plantation and eight other distinguished communities across North Carolina.
The CAI-NC Seal of Distinction program, launched in 2023, serves as both a recognition of excellence and an aspirational guide for community associations striving to meet best practices. "Earning the Seal of Distinction is not only an achievement to be proud of but also a tangible asset for home values in the association," notes CAI-NC (https://cai-nc.org/2025-community-association-seal-of-distinction/). Mallory Creek Plantation's recognition underscores its role as a leader in North Carolina's community association landscape.
