Shipco honored with Sustainability Excellence Award for driving sustainability initiatives and promoting environmental stewardship
Presented by USC Marshall Randall Kendrick Global Supply Chain Institute, the award recognizes Shipco's dedication toward building a more sustainable future in global logistics.
Accepting the award on behalf of Shipco Transport and the WorldWide Alliance were Mette Karapetian, Vice President, Global Sustainability - ESG, and Frederik Querriere, LCL Export Operations Manager West Coast.
Shipco's sustainability efforts are powered by collaboration with key partners such as the Port of Long Beach, clients, and industry change-makers committed to carbon-conscious operations.
While Shipco operates globally, its work in California anchors its mission. The state's geography, population diversity, and environmental challenges - including wildfires, drought, and resource scarcity - underscore the urgency of sustainable logistics. Despite complex political and economic conditions, Shipco believes environmental responsibility cannot take a backseat.
"The stakes are literally in our backyard," Karapetian remarks. "These challenges remind us why our continued conversations about carbon-improved logistics aren't optional - they're essential."
