Interface of Quick-Extract

Interface of Quick-Extract

Helm & Nagel GmbH today announced the launch of its document data extraction platform Quick-Extract. An integrated LLM agent automatically takes over the complete development of document parsers and eliminates time-consuming manual configuration. The software is aimed at companies that want to quickly and reliably extract data from recurring documents such as invoices, purchase orders, or regulatory filings. Unlike conventional Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions, the platform requires no training, setup, or manual field configuration.

"Not every use case requires the full complexity of an enterprise IDP solution," explains Christopher Helm, Managing Director of Helm & Nagel GmbH. "That's why we developed Quick-Extract: an LLM agent handles the entire project within minutes - from document analysis to a production-ready API."

Full Multimodal LLM Integration with Agent-Based Development

The core innovation of Quick-Extract is based on the integration of multimodal large language models acting as autonomous agents. They independently analyze uploaded sample documents and automatically generate functional extraction solutions. The system achieves text recognition accuracy above 99.5% across 50+ supported languages and delivers an F-score accuracy of 92% for data extraction without training.

The platform processes PDFs and image files via an intuitive web interface, with average API response times of about 10 seconds per document. Thanks to its "one-shot learning" functionality, the agent can create a complete extraction schema from a single uploaded sample document and immediately deploy it in production.

Sample Use Cases

Quick-Extract adapts automatically to a wide range of scenarios across different industries:

Regulatory documents: Processing of Key Investor Information Documents (KID) with automatic extraction of product types, ISIN codes, and performance indicators

Finance: Analysis of fund newsletters with extraction of fund names, types, currencies, and management fees

Human resources: Automated processing of résumés with extraction of contact details, skills, and work experience

Energy sector: Extraction of all relevant metrics and validity dates from energy performance certificates

Custom document types: Tailored extraction for insurance, market research, legal, and other documents, regardless of format and layout

The flexible user interface allows users to specify custom fields and even implement complex Boolean conditions.

Technical Architecture and Integration

Quick-Extract follows a cloud-only approach with an optimized backend architecture for maximum speed. The platform offers an API interface for core operations and enables seamless integration via REST endpoints. The system supports dynamic scaling and is designed for medium document volumes. Through interactive API documentation, users gain direct access to GET and POST endpoints. Output is provided in JSON format by default, enabling straightforward downstream processing. The platform is preloaded and comes without cold-start delays.

Differentiation from Enterprise IDP Solutions

Quick-Extract complements Helm & Nagel's established enterprise platform Konfuzio IDP. While Konfuzio is designed for complex workflows with extensive customization options - including RBAC, SSO integration, and audit trails - Quick-Extract focuses on maximum speed and instant availability. Konfuzio IDP offers a full microservice architecture with enterprise-grade autoscaling, multi-tenancy support, and extensive customization via Python-based rule engines. Quick-Extract, in contrast, reduces this complexity in favor of immediate usability.

"Both solutions address different requirements," emphasizes Helm. "Konfuzio is suited for companies with maximum functionality demands, while Quick-Extract is for teams that want to achieve productive results within minutes."

Pricing Model and Availability

Quick-Extract follows a transparent, usage-based pricing model with no minimum contract terms. New users receive an initial credit upon registration for free testing; processing is billed at transparent per-document costs. The platform is available now at quick-extract.com and offers full API support for integration into existing business processes.
