Press release from: AURUS Arquitectura

AURUS Arquitectura: Madrid-based women-led studio reshaping European architecture with sustainable, human-centered design.

AURUS Arquitectura: Madrid-based women-led studio reshaping European architecture with sustainable, human-centered design.

Founded in Madrid in 2024 by three women, AURUS Arquitectura now leads high-impact projects in Spain, France, and the UK-combining innovation, sustainability, and design excellence.

Body
Madrid, Spain - August 14, 2025 - In a profession still marked by gender imbalance, AURUS Arquitectura is redefining what leadership in architecture looks like. Launched in early 2024 by Vanessa López Rocafort, Irene Ibisate Domínguez, and Raquel Rodríguez Galiano, the Madrid-based studio has quickly evolved into a dynamic team of nine women, spanning architecture, interior design, and emerging creative talent.

From the outset, AURUS has stood for more than aesthetic form. Its philosophy is rooted in human-centered design, environmental responsibility, and precision execution. Whether reimagining a heritage property in Paris, designing Mediterranean villas in Marbella, or developing next-generation workspaces in Madrid, the studio treats every project as a thoughtful response to place, people, and purpose.

"Architecture isn't just about buildings-it's about how people live, work, and feel within them," says co-founder Irene Ibisate. "We design with empathy, with context, and with a deep sense of responsibility."

AURUS integrates advanced tools such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), environmental simulations, and sustainable material sourcing to deliver high-performance, low-impact solutions. Their portfolio now spans private residences, commercial environments, and institutional work across Spain, France, and the United Kingdom.

Despite its boutique size, the studio operates with a global mindset. Its work ranges from sleek contemporary homes to the adaptive reuse of historic spaces-always guided by collaboration, rigor, and respect for local context.

With an expanding slate of international projects and a clear design ethos, AURUS Arquitectura is emerging as both a creative force and a model for the power of women-led, values-driven practice in the global architectural arena.
