Finnish studio Bockholm Games launches debut title Armed Conflict on Gamefound
Armed Conflict box and game board
Armed Conflict is a strategy game that simulates the core principles of modern warfare with a focus on both realism and replayability. While the game uses proven components, such as a hex map and cardboard counters, the aim is to create a unique experience, through the artwork, the straightforward combat resolution mechanism, and an alliance system allowing up to 6 players.
Most of the artwork for the game is hand-painted by the game designer. The double-sided game board has a unique aesthetic that is both intuitive and inspiring. Battles are resolved using a fast dice-based system, allowing players to focus on strategy rather than lengthy rule lookups, while still keeping overall probabilities realistic.
The game will cost 49 euros to back on Gamefound and delivery is expected during the first quarter of 2026.
