Kind Malaysia 2025 Officiated by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur, 8 August 2025 - Kind Malaysia 2025 was officially opened today by YB Dato' Dr Ramli bin Dato' Mohd Nor, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The ceremony was also graced by the presence of Kind Malaysia 2025 Advisors, Major General Professor Dato' Dr Mohd Zin bin Bidin, Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai, and Dato' Sri Dr Hj Irmohizam bin Hj Ibrahim, whose guidance and support have been instrumental in shaping the event's vision and impact. Now in its fourth edition, Kind Malaysia continues to serve as a national platform that brings together corporations, NGOs, and social enterprises to forge partnerships that create meaningful and lasting impact. The two-day event, which began yesterday, is held under the theme "Kindness Unites Humanity" and features 27 non-governmental organisations representing causes from humanitarian aid and mental health to environmental conservation and community empowerment.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, YB Dato' Dr Ramli commended the initiative for its ability to bridge sectors that might otherwise operate in isolation. He noted that "real change happens when we connect capability with compassion, and platforms like Kind Malaysia ensure that those with resources and influence work hand in hand with those who understand the needs on the ground."
Chairman of Kind Malaysia, YBhg Tan Sri Asmat Kamaludin, reflected on the deeper meaning behind the event, emphasising that kindness is not merely a feeling but a conscious act. "Kindness is not an abstract ideal. It is a choice we make every day, in leadership, in business, and in community. Kind Malaysia was created to make that choice easier, by giving corporates and civil society the space to collaborate and act," he said.
Co-Founder and Director, Datuk Dr M Gandhi, likened the event to a shared table where everyone contributes their unique strengths. "When corporates and NGOs come together, each brings something different. This platform ensures that those contributions are matched and channelled into lasting solutions," he explained. He also expressed gratitude to the Kind Malaysia 2025 CSR Partners - MACEOS, ESG Malaysia, Artisense, Web Temple, Evenesis, and PR Newswire, acknowledging their expertise in event management, sustainability assessment, creative design, website development, registration technology, and communications outreach.
A key highlight of this year's programme is the Better World Corner, hosting Pocket Talks on three core themes: Health, Wellness & Care; Humanitarian Action, Mental Health and Inclusion; and Environment, Technology & Empowerment. These sessions provide attendees with insights into pressing social issues and encourage the exchange of actionable ideas.
Kind Malaysia 2025 is co-located with EventXpo 2025 and runs until 9 August 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Admission is free, offering the public an opportunity to meet and engage with organisations driving positive change across Malaysia.
