6th Annual Food Conscious Tour Comes to Opa-locka to Promote Health, Community, and Wellness
Opa-locka, FL - August 5, 2025 - In partnership with Health in the Hood and the City of Opa-locka, Extend-A-HAND proudly presents the 6th Annual Food Conscious Tour, a free, family-focused wellness and community resource event taking place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Sherbondy Park, 380 Bahman Avenue, Opa-locka, FL.
The Food Conscious Tour is a multi-city initiative that empowers underserved communities through health education, food access, and vital resources. This Miami-Dade stop is expected to welcome hundreds of families and includes partnerships with leading wellness organizations, government agencies, and nonprofits.
Event Highlights Include:
Free healthy food and produce giveaways
Back-to-school supply distribution
Cooking demos, fitness activities, and wellness workshops
Live DJ, music, and family-friendly entertainment
Over 20 resource vendors offering services in wellness, employment, mental health, and more
