Top selling waterproof weighing scale “even more portable”

UK-based weighing scales manufacturer Marsden has launched a new version of its best-selling bench scale, the B-100 - aimed at fruit pickers, mushroom growers and farms.

The stainless steel, IP68-rated waterproof scale can now be powered by replaceable batteries, whereas the original model was a rechargeable unit. Marsden has introduced the scale as a response to various industries needing a scale that doesn’t require recharging regularly.

Mark Coates, Marsden’s Operations Director, said: “Many Marsden customers need a weighing scale that can be powered by standard AA batteries. As soon as the batteries go flat, they can replace them and carry on with using the scale without having to find a mains socket to power or charge the scale.

“This kind of scale is an absolutely essential tool for increasing productivity - with a 200 hour battery life we’re aiming it at fruit pickers, mushroom growers and farms. For a robust waterproof scale that’s now even more portable, there’s little else on the market that compares.”

Six AA batteries are required to power the new B-100. The scale has red LED displays front and rear, and a choice of capacities available up to 30kg, with accuracies available as low as 0.2g.

The standard B-100 Bench Scale is currently available at the reduced price of £115+VAT. The new, replaceable batteries B-100 can be purchased at the introductory price of £125+VAT.
