Press release
AI consultant and former NBCUniversal and Verizon producer launches AI consultancy and creative AI agency aimed at the television, marketing and product development industries
An AI consultant and TV producer Jamie W* has launched two complementary AI ventures designed to help the creative industries navigate the opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence.(*his full name has been censored by the overly-cautious press release service, but you will find it on the below websites!)
aiteachers.co offers a specialised consultancy for creative leaders wishing to understand the implications of AI on media and the arts, and also provides training to address gaps in AI skills and literacy. Meanwhile Stay Lucky, a creative AI agency, helps brands and media companies use AI to visualise their development projects.
Drawing on his in-depth knowledge of generative AI and his 17 years of experience working across concept creation for TV, marketing and product development, Jamie has created these two ventures to address the growing demand for AI expertise in creative fields while maintaining the human insight and skill that drives meaningful work.
Both ventures leverage Jamie's extensive background in television production and concept creation for global brands, offering clients a unique combination of creative industry experience and technological innovation.
aiteachers.co
aiteachers.co is a specialised consultancy helping business leaders understand the consequences of AI technology on the media and arts. It also offers training for companies wishing to improve the AI literacy of their staff. The venture addresses a critical gap in the market as companies across television, advertising, and product development seek to understand AI technologies while avoiding the minefield of ethical, legal and reputational risks.
"I've already been using generative AI in my creative work for three years, and seeing everything develop in real-time has made me extremely knowledgeable about the sector - not just about the tools and techniques but also the macro effects of these sudden advancements in technology. Many people are underestimating how much things are changing in terms of how people create content."
"Companies are in a situation where they are realising they need to understand what is happening in AI, even if they have no intention of using it themselves. Or they have decided they want to use AI but are overwhelmed by how unbelievably fast the technology is changing. There's a mix of excitement, fear and confusion in the creative sectors, and I aim to provide clarity as businesses decide whether they want to embrace AI, resist it, or find a reasonable middle ground." - Jamie
The consultancy offers sessions aimed at helping creative leaders understand what is happening in generative AI, making it clear the ethical or legal risks involved with any workflow. Clients for this consultancy have included Black Mirror producer Broke and Bones and global corporate events company Inca Productions.
Stay Lucky (staylucky.co)
Stay Lucky is a creative AI agency specialising in concept creation and visualisation across TV, marketing and product development - combining a deep knowledge of generative AI with the fundamentals of human creativity. It seeks to combine Jamie's background in concept creation across multiple industries with his knowledge of generative AI.
"I don't think any of us want to see huge amounts of AI content on our screens; however for the development process it's incredibly useful - allowing creative teams to visualise their formats and products more clearly. And although we're now in a world where we can generate thousands of ideas in a few seconds, knowing what a good idea is is as important as ever - and that's where my background in creating concepts for some of the world's most well-known companies provides the essential human touch." - Jamie
Clients for AI-focused projects with Stay Lucky have included the Government of Dubai and Harvard Business Review.
About Jamie
Jamie joined the TV industry in 2007 as part of Endemol's development internship, and went on to become part of the development teams of Fremantle, Princess, Objective, 12 Yard and Bandicoot - and then spent four years at NBCUniversal and 1.5 years at Verizon, becoming Series Producer and Senior Development Producer before taking a break from the industry in 2020.
He then went into creative strategy, working on projects for the likes of Unilever, Gillette and Nescafé. After quickly adopting early versions of DALL-E and ChatGPT in 2022, he started incorporating it into his workflow, before pivoting to mostly focusing on creative AI projects (for the likes of the Government of Dubai and Harvard Business Review), and then going on to offer AI consultancy services - including to Black Mirror producer, Broke and Bones.
No hires have been announced for either ventures, but Jamie is expected to be joined by a small team of specialists.
The launches come at a time when the creative industries are grappling with what level of AI to integrate without compromising their creative integrity. Recent research by McKinsey says that 92% of businesses across the USA are looking to implement more AI into their processes by the end of 2027, with a third of them currently using it for image generation.
