ValueSense is betting $100K that financial creators want a better platform to share stock research
ValueSense is taking on the fragmented world of financial content creation with a new public community platform that lets investors and creators share sophisticated stock market research tools. The company is backing the launch with a $100,000 creator fund to lure established financial influencers away from platforms like Twitter and YouTube.
The new feature transforms ValueSense from a private research tool into a public platform where users can share interactive charts, custom watchlists, stock screeners, and comprehensive dashboards. Think of it as GitHub for stock market analysis, where instead of code repositories, users are sharing investment research artifacts.
"Financial creators need tools that match the sophistication of their analysis," explains George Narinyan from ValueSense. "You can't share a dynamic stock screener on Twitter or embed a live dashboard on LinkedIn."
ValueSense's creator fund follows a familiar strategy from other platforms trying to bootstrap their communities. The grants range from $100 to $10,000, distributed over four months based on engagement metrics. To qualify, creators need at least 1,000 followers on financial platforms and five published research pieces in the last 30 days.
What sets ValueSense apart from financial social platforms like StockTwits is the sophistication of its research tools. Users aren't just posting opinions - they're sharing actual analytical instruments that others can modify and build upon. A creator might build a dashboard combining market outlook, custom screeners, and watchlists with community commentary.
AI agents on the horizon!
ValueSense hints at bigger ambitions in "phase two": users will be able to create and share custom AI agents and automated investing strategies. This positions the company not just as a research sharing platform, but as a potential marketplace for algorithmic trading strategies.
The company faces competition from established players like TradingView for charting, but those platforms aren't designed around community sharing and creator monetization. Whether $100,000 is enough to attract meaningful creator adoption remains to be seen - the fund works out to supporting roughly 100 creators at $1,000 each.
The real test will be whether the platform can retain creators after the initial funding period ends, and whether the collaborative research tools generate enough sustained engagement.
