The chasing peloton closed the gap but couldn't prevent the break's victory. Ivanov triumphed in 2:42:58, seizing both the overall leader's green jersey and sprint title. Triumph-Bardiani's Campbell placed second while Hengsheng's Guo Liang earned third and the white jersey as top Chinese rider.
