Montreal, QC - June 24, 2025 - SynergAI, the Canadian AI firm behind the TransPacific Trade Nexus (TPTN), has received official validation from the Digital Governance Council (DGC) for its alignment with the Model Law on Electronic Transferable Records (MLETR)-a global legal framework developed by the United Nations to modernize cross-border trade documentation.

This milestone places TPTN among a small number of platforms worldwide recognized for meeting technical and legal standards enabling reliable digital transfers of trade documents such as bills of lading and promissory notes.

"TPTN was designed from day one to meet real-world trade and governance standards-not just prototype tech," said Chris Papp, Founder & CEO of SynergAI. "This validation confirms we're building trusted digital infrastructure Canada needs to lead in the Indo-Pacific era."

MLETR adoption is growing globally, with countries representing over a third of global GDP-including the UK, Singapore, and Germany-already embracing it. Canada is actively exploring alignment.

TPTN's validation was conducted through the DGC's Digital Trust Conformity Assessment Program, developed with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). The assessment confirmed TPTN's intent to fulfill MLETR's functional equivalence and reliability standards (Articles 1-18), with no material concerns raised.

Why It Matters:

Policy-Aligned Innovation: TPTN is the first Canadian platform publicly validated for MLETR compliance.

Future-Ready: The platform is architected for AI-native workflows, multilingual UX, and ESG traceability.

Built for SMEs: It aims to simplify export compliance and accelerate market access-especially in ASEAN.

TPTN is entering its prototype phase, with four Canadian provinces engaged and pilot access expected in Q4 2025. The platform's AI-enabled Exporter Module will help businesses auto-classify goods, activate trade agreement benefits, and navigate documentation digitally.
