Witty Wicks Awards $1,000 David J. Cotter Memorial Scholarship to West Genesee High School Senior

This scholarship honors the life and legacy of David J. Cotter, one of the first people to work for Witty Wicks back when it was still a home-based business. Known for his warmth, humor, and ability to lift up everyone around him, David's memory continues to shine through this annual recognition.
Sophia plans to pursue a degree in music education, a path that reflects her family's roots and her own passion for the arts. She was selected not only for her academic goals but for her kind spirit and bright smile-qualities that deeply mirror David's.
This marks the second year Witty Wicks has awarded the scholarship and underscores the company's ongoing commitment to giving back. While they have pledged to award one scholarship each year, their hope is to expand to two scholarships in 2026, funded in part by proceeds from the David J. Cotter Memorial Candle, available online and in store.
