It Is Essential to Eliminate Toxins From Your Body

According to the Environmental Defense Group, more than 4 billion pounds of toxic chemicals are released into the environment each year—72 million pounds of which are known carcinogens. They're everywhere, in the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat.

According to the 2005 report from the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) Environmental Health Laboratory, there are 148 chemicals (38 of which have never been measured previously in the U.S. population), currently found in the blood and/or urine of Americans.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), 70,000 chemicals are used commercially in the United States, and 65,000 of those 70,000 are potentially hazardous to our health.

Additional tests at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York on the blood and urine of adult Americans have found a total of 167 compounds, with an average of 91 in each person. Of these 167 compounds, 76 are known to cause cancer, 94 are toxic to the nervous system. 82 effect the lungs, 86 effect hormones, and 79 cause birth defects.

The Red Cross, in cooperation with the Environmental Working Group, discovered a total of 287 chemicals have been found in unborn baby's blood; 180 are known to cause cancer, 217 are toxic to the brain and nervous system, and 208 cause birth defects in animals.

But our problems don't just stop with toxins and carcinogens. Some estimates show as many as 25% of Americans suffer from some degree of heavy metal poisoning, the primary ones being mercury, lead, cadmium and arsenic.

Obviously there is a need to remove these toxins from the body before they begin to wreak havoc on our bodily systems. Many diseases and conditions are caused or accelerated by toxic overload in our bodies.
