Reform Athletica Offers the Boutique Fitness Studio Experience

Reform Athletica Dubai brings the fitness experience found in global wellness hubs, such as New York, London, and Los Angeles, to the United Arab Emirates through its two boutique fitness studios in Dubai Jumeirah 1 and Dubai International Financial Centre's ICD Brookfield Place.

The Boutique Studio: How It Differs From Gyms
Boutique fitness studios are for working out, but they are not gyms. Instead of offering membership plans that provide unlimited access to workout equipment like treadmills, elliptical machines, dumbbells, presses, and more, studios like Reform Athletica offer fitness classes.

To work out in a studio, you buy a package, which may be for a single class, three classes, five classes, ten classes, or more. Packages expire-say, two, three, five, or nine months from the date of purchase-so you must use up all your included classes within your package's validity period.

When you compare the price points of gyms and studios, gyms are typically more affordable. A month's worth of gym membership costs between AED 250 and AED 800, while a single class at a studio typically costs more than AED 100.

However, boutique studios offer something tangibly different and much more valuable.

Guided Workouts
First, their focus on fitness classes handled by experienced and certified trainers means a guided workout experience. Classes are better at keeping participants engaged than do-it-yourself gym workouts. Beginners, especially, should find attending classes more approachable than free-styling at the gym because someone is leading the sessions.

Better Results
The training format also contributes to better, sustainable results and helps establish good workout habits. The small size of classes ensures interaction between the trainer and session participants. Thus, it's easier to remain engaged, and trainers can keep participants accountable for their efforts and results.

Clear Methods and Objectives
Classes at boutique studios also have clear-cut methods and fitness objectives. Thus, it's easier to decide which classes to take, as you just need to find a class that matches your objectives. This makes it easier to align and commit to personal fitness goals.

Price as Inducement
The higher prices of studios may also induce a higher rate of attendance. If you have already paid for a set number of classes, you're more likely to be motivated to go.

High-End Facilities
Finally, the typical studio offers high-end facilities and amenities. The equipment is in the best condition, the amenities are upscale, and studio-goers get to work out and relax in a comfortable, clean, and aesthetically pleasing environment. These can be enough to make you prefer a boutique fitness studio over a regular gym.

Reform Athletica Classes
To work out at the Reform Athletica studio, you must first buy a package with the number of sessions you want. If you're a first-timer, you can get the First Timer 3 Class Taster Package, which includes three group classes. Next, browse the schedule of sessions and book the classes you want, up to the number of classes included in your package. After that, all you need to do is show up for your booked sessions.

Reform Athletica has five signature workouts. They are the following:

1. Reform Method Classes
Reform method classes are 50 minutes of low-impact, high-intensity strength-building exercises. They are performed on the Lagree Megaformer.

The Megaformer is similar to the Reformer machine used in Pilates. However, the Megaformer has adjustable resistance springs and a platform that enables the dynamic targeting of different muscle groups.

Lagree Megaformer reform classes exercise the whole body. They use fast-paced resistance exercises and compound movements to engage and challenge different muscle groups. The goal is to achieve muscle fatigue rapidly. Over time, the exercises in Reform Athletica's reform method classes develop core strength, improve cardiovascular endurance, and build long and lean muscles.

2. Strength Classes
Strength classes are 50 minutes of strength exercises using dumbbells, kettlebells, and other resistance and weightlifting equipment. Strength training sessions include conditioning through TRX suspension systems. Interspersed with lifting exercises are bursts of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) for cardiovascular and metabolic health and maximum impact.

At Reform Athletica's strength classes, you will learn specific exercises that build muscle and develop strength. More importantly, your trainer will teach you how to lift weights correctly, demonstrate techniques that will help you maximise your power and lift more, and help you maintain proper form so you can lift safely and effectively.

3. Microformer Classes
Microformer classes are similar to reform method classes. You will perform most of the same moves you do on the Megaformer, but on a smaller, more compact machine, the Microformer. Aside from the fast-paced, high-intensity exercises, Microformer sessions also involve mat work, cardio bursts, and lifting kettlebells, free weights, and other weightlifting equipment.

Microformer classes are 45 minutes long. They will help develop your core and strengthen, tone, and tighten your body. Like reform method classes, Microformer classes can help build long and lean muscles.

4. Sculpt and Burn Classes
Sculpt and Burn classes are 50-minute sessions designed to promote stability, improve muscular coordination, and boost movement. They involve low-impact bodyweight mat exercises enhanced by props, such as ankle weights, stability balls, and some light- and medium-weight dumbbells.

The trainer will push you to the limits of your endurance. However, the sessions are dynamic and accompanied by music to which you can sync your movements, ensuring you're engaged from start to finish.

5. Yoga Classes
Reform Athletica's yoga classes in Dubai improve mobility and flexibility. During the 60-minute session, you will move in a defined sequence, from the warm-up routine in the opening to mindful breathing and manoeuvres that strengthen the body by putting it through its full range of motion.

Yoga classes involve performing deep stretches. You will hold them for an extended period and transition from one position to another as seamlessly and smoothly as possible.

Reform Athletica Fitness Classes for Sustainable Results
Reform Athletica's group classes foster a sense of community and shared accountability; you're all in it together. The small class sizes, meanwhile, ensure the trainer can attend to everyone's needs.

The personalised guidance from the trainer will ensure you're activating the correct muscle groups and accurately performing exercises. If you need an extra boost, you can even get one-to-one personal training sessions.

In fitness, success means having a goal and a clear plan. Reform Athletica's boutique studio approach ensures you have both to help you achieve your desired outcomes.

Currently located in two locations in Dubai's Jumeirah 1 and DIFC's ICD Brookfield Place - the studio is located perfectly between the urban city bustle and Dubai's beautiful beaches. Reform Athletica stands for embracing fitness at all stages of life as part of a regular wellness maintenance routine. We deliver fun and challenging workouts in a motivating environment with small class sizes, so we can focus on every individual. The owners, inspired by their personal experiences and seeing the benefits of regular Pilates and TRX exercise, decided to open their own studio designed to reflect their vision of the ideal workout space.
