DRIFT3R got its start several years ago when creative director and designer Emil Jones found his love for art in elementary school. In 2023, he finally decided it was time to put some of his art on clothing. This is the culmination for all of the designs at DRIFT3R today, especially with the launch of the new Kinfolk collection.

Each of the pieces - or "symbols", as Jones describes them - found in the Kinfolk collection has its own story. Each story is told raw and without filter, relating back to Jones' own life and experiences. His hardships and ups and downs in life are what brought the Kinfolk collection to life. According to Jones, the new collection and all the designs at DRIFT3R reflect an atypical love story. In the Kinfolk collection, a blend of dark art and contrasting beauty, a story paints a picture while drawing parallels to the tale of a fallen angel.

For Jones, the art of his project shines through, but the production quality of his garments are highly prioritized. Each piece is made in the United States with hand-sewn labels, embroidery, and carefully-crafted signature amulets. When choosing materials, Jones wants his art to meet an equally fine canvas. "One can't go without the other," said Jones.
