San Francisco, CA - May 20, 2025: Coworker.ai today announced the launch of the world's first AI agent capable of independently researching, planning, and executing complex work with the contextual depth. It integrates seamlessly with over 25 enterprise tools, including Jira, Slack, GitHub, and Salesforce, operating as a trusted collaborator that stays aligned with team priorities.
Coworker's intelligence comes from OM1, its proprietary memory architecture that tracks more than 120 business signals, from projects and teams to meetings and documents, and how they change over time. This gives the AI agent a live, evolving understanding of company data, workflows, and culture - enabling it to reason through complexity and take action with precision.

The launch is supported by a $13 million seed round led by Jeff Huber, former SVP of Google Ads, Maps, and Workspace, now Managing Director at Triatomic Capital. Additional investors include Ramtin Naimi (Abstract Ventures), Mallun Yen (Operator Collective), Tim Young (Eniac Ventures), and Clark Golestani, Ken Hausman, and Jack Greenfield (K2 Access Fund). They join pre-seed backers Soma Capital, Focal VC, Mischief, and Karman Ventures, bringing Coworker's total funding to $16.5 million.

The missing ingredient in current AI tools is organizational awareness

Large language models (LLMs) are powerful content generators, but they lack the internal context required to make decisions or drive execution. Task-specific agents can automate isolated steps, but they can't follow the thread across teams, tools, or evolving priorities. As a consequence, employees spend significant time re-explaining background, uploading supporting materials, and correcting flawed outputs - undermining the very efficiency AI is meant to provide.

Coworker overcomes these limitations by operating with full organizational awareness, allowing it to act as a reliable teammate within even the most complex, cross-functional workflows.

"Despite major progress in foundational models and the rise of consumer AI tools, AI has not made a meaningful impact on productivity inside companies," said Alex Calder, co-founder and CEO of Coworker.ai. "The reason is context. Without a clear understanding of your company and your work, AI remains unreliable, often inaccurate, and difficult to trust with execution."

In use at more than 25 companies since its private release in December 2024, Coworker already supports a broad range of high-impact use cases:

Sales - helping teams understand call dynamics, respond faster, and move deals forward
Engineering & Product - keeping developers focused by handling code reviews, documentation, and release tasks
Customer Success - tracking sentiment and risk, flagging changes in customer health before escalation
Leadership - providing continuous visibility into team progress, delays, and decision points

"We were deeply impressed by Coworker's architecture," said Jeff Huber, Managing Director at Triatomic Capital. "Its ability to retain and apply rich organizational context lets it move far beyond surface-level responses. It doesn't just assist - it collaborates. OM1 lays the groundwork for an entirely new category of enterprise software."
"We saw a customer use Coworker to get an engineering sprint back on track," said Bradford Church, co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Coworker.ai. "It reviewed Jira, Slack, and GitHub, pinpointed the issue, opened a new ticket, and drafted the fix. That kind of end-to-end execution is something current AI tools simply can't do."
Given the sensitivity of the data Coworker handles, it was built with enterprise-grade security, strict permissions, and full auditability from day one. The platform is compliant with leading standards, including SOC 2, GDPR, and CASA Tier 2, ensuring trust at every level of deployment.
"Coworker has dramatically reduced the time I spend tracking down and organizing critical information," said Noah Tutak, Chief Product Officer at Curri. "The insights it delivers, just by asking, continue to exceed expectations. It's become an essential part of how I work."
