Security Savings Bank Scholarship Applications Due
Henderson, Nevada -- Security Savings Bank today announced that applications for its 2008 Scholarship Program are due April 1, 2008. The Security Savings Bank Scholarship Program provides scholarship recipients with up to $1,000 in financial assistance.Security Savings Bank scholarships are provided to low-income students residing in Clark County. Applicants are evaluated on 1) demonstrated leadership qualities, 2) involvement in the community, 3) clarity of direction and goals, 4) academic achievement, 5) letters of recommendation and 6) financial need. The 2008 Security Savings Bank Scholarship Program will award $1,000 scholarships to university-bound high school seniors and $500 scholarships to current and community college-bound students. A total of $5,000 will be awarded in 2008.
Scholarship applications can be obtained by sending an e-mail request to: scholarship@bankplace.com or by mailing the request to: Scholarship Program, Compliance Department, Security Savings Bank, 3019 St. Rose Parkway, Henderson, Nevada 89052.
