WheelKeep Launches Invisible Bike Security System on Kickstarter

WheelKeep, a cycling security startup founded by passionate riders with a goal to help cyclists ride with confidence by making bike protection smarter, sleeker, and invisible. Today, the team launches a Kickstarter campaign to introduce its flagship product: an invisible smart security device for bicycles. The WheelKeep system is installed in the steering column of the bicycle. It is completely invisible from the outside, able to notify the owner of any movement of the bicycle, as well as to show its geolocation.
WheelKeep is an advanced bike protection, without changing how the bike looks or rides.
Key features of the WheelKeep system include:
- Stealth Installation - The compact unit is hidden inside the headset and becomes a bike part, so thieves cannot see or disable it.
- Motion Alerts - Built-in sensors detect even slight movements and automatically send push notifications to the owner's phone if the bike is disturbed.
- Precise Tracking - GPS/GNSS tracking lets riders locate their bicycle (up to 2 meters or 10 feet precision) if it is stolen or moved, giving recovery teams accurate information.
- Recovery service - in selected regions, the private security companies will deliver the stolen bike back.
- Easy Integration - WheelKeep requires no external locks or bulky attachments, preserving the bike's original look and aerodynamics.

WheelKeep's Kickstarter campaign has started. The campaign will fund final production setup and certifications, with first shipments expected in September 2025. By combining innovative hardware with mobile connectivity, WheelKeep aims to help mountain bikers and all cyclists protect their equipment and ride with greater confidence.
