Bubonic Plague is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Yersinia pestis. It is primarily transmitted through flea bites from infected rodents. Symptoms include swollen lymph nodes, fever, and chills. Without prompt antibiotic treatment, it can be fatal. Though rare today, sporadic cases still occur globally.
