ARGOS Identity, a leading AI-based identity verification platform, announced today that it has partnered with Kakao Entertainment to implement its ID check service on Melon Ticket, Kakao's ticketing platform. The service is designed to prevent illegal ticket resales and strengthen user authentication.

This integration aims to block ticket scalping and simplify the ticketing process while enhancing security by enforcing a strict one-person-one-account policy.

ARGOS provides a comprehensive AI-powered identity verification platform, supporting corporate clients across industries with features such as ID document authentication, facial recognition, and OCR. Its ID check service, a remote identity verification (eKYC) solution, detects forged IDs and manipulated faces with high accuracy, offering a fast and reliable user experience. The version of ID check adopted by Kakao Entertainment uses AI to identify multiple forms of identity forgery, effectively preventing identity theft and other fraudulent attempts during the ticketing process. With ARGOS, ticketing platforms and event organizers can mitigate the legal and financial risks of scalping while ensuring fair access to tickets for genuine users.

In addition, this collaboration enables ARGOS to support identity verification for foreign users without CI (Connecting Information) by generating a DI (Digital Identifier) based on verified personal information. This allows short-term foreign visitors who lose access to their accounts to easily recover them, even after a single-use registration on the platform.
