Partner to Expand Access to Free Dental Kits and Oral Health Education
Bright Smiles Community Outreach Coalition, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering communities through oral health education and access, is expanding its impact through a new partnership with Springboro United Church of Christ. Together, they aim to provide essential dental care support to underserved families in the area. This collaboration marks a major milestone in Bright Smiles' mission to improve oral hygiene access beyond food pantries and homeless shelters. The new initiative will officially launch with a Grand Opening on April 20th at 15 West Street in Springboro, OH.

The non-profit initiative will provide free dental hygiene kits-complete with toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and educational resources-to thousands of local residents and disaster relief efforts nationally while offering preventive education digitally and on the ground The goal is to ensure more individuals and families have the tools and knowledge necessary for better long-term dental health.

To celebrate the new collaboration, the public is invited to attend a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Easter Sunday, April 20, at Gabriel House on the Springboro United Church of Christ campus. The event will run from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will include free food, beverages, and dental kits for attendees. A special oral health presentation will also be given by Dr. Turab Rai of Franklin Dental Care and Dentures [https://franklindental.care/] and a member of the board of directors of Bright Smiles Community Outreach Coalition.

In addition to providing physical resources, Bright Smiles will help individuals navigate the often-complicated process of accessing affordable dental care. Those without insurance or the means to pay for dental services will be supported through Medicaid assistance and referrals to Franklin Dental Care and Dentures, which can help with filing Medicaid claims for necessary procedures.

This community-based effort reflects a broader shift toward preventative care and education, especially for populations who may struggle with healthcare access. The event is designed not only to distribute products but also to empower individuals with the knowledge needed to care for their oral health long-term.
