350,000 Sq. Ft Relief Hub Launches in San Pedro to Power Wildfire Recovery in California
Los Angeles, CA - On April 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM, Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) and Native American-led nonprofit Pow Wow on Parade (PWoP) will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of a 350,000 square foot disaster relief warehouse in San Pedro, California. This milestone marks one of the largest coordinated relief efforts in Southern California following the devastating LA Wildfires.
The warehouse will serve as a central hub for emergency and long-term recovery supplies, including PPE, construction equipment, earth movers, food and water pallets, and mobile medical aid kits.
The launch event will feature dignitaries and community leaders including representatives from the office of Mayor Karen Bass, Long Beach Mayor Rex Richardson, Former LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Congresswoman Judy Chu, Congresswoman Nanette Barragan, Congressman Robert Garcia, and Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove.
"Our mission is to bring fast, effective humanitarian aid where it's needed most," said a representative from GEM. "This warehouse symbolizes hope, speed, and community-driven response at scale."
A Grounded Response Led by Those Who Understand Loss
Pow Wow on Parade (PWoP), a Native American nonprofit with deep roots in Los Angeles, has been on the frontlines since the fires broke out-often arriving before national agencies. Led by Peter Roybal (CEO) and Baltazar Fedalizo (Co-Founder & Principal), PWoP has delivered daily hot meals, emergency baby supplies, legal aid, and medical assistance to displaced families.

Fedalizo, a veteran of both the U.S. Navy and Army, will oversee operations at the San Pedro facility.
