Altimedia, a leading provider of digital broadcasting software solutions, has announced that it has changed its corporate name to 'KT Altimedia'.

Since becoming a subsidiary of KT in October 2021, Altimedia has focused on supporting the group's media services and expanding its overseas solution business. The name change aligns with KT Group's branding strategy aimed at establishing a unified corporate image in line with the group's AICT-driven future business direction. It also seeks to enhance synergy and cohesion among its affiliates.

KT Altimedia offers a wide range of products and technologies including software platforms for set-top boxes, content security solutions, user interfaces (UI/UX) for media services, multiscreen service development, and headend systems. The company has provided specialized solutions to more than 50 million devices across 30 telecom operators in 15 countries. In February of this year, KT Altimedia was selected as the middleware supplier for Android set-top boxes by Turk Telekom, a major telecom operator in Turkiye.

KT Altimedia CEO Dosa Park stated, "Through this name change, we aim to establish a more unified brand identity as a member of KT Group and continue delivering the highest value to our customers." He added, "We will actively integrate emerging technologies such as AI and cloud into our media services to further strengthen our product and technology competitiveness."

With this rebranding, KT Altimedia plans to play a central role in executing KT Group's AICT strategy by enhancing collaboration with other media-related subsidiaries. The company also aims to serve as a key player in promoting KT's advanced technologies and services across global markets.
