West Bengal Chemical Industries Limited Wins National Intellectual Property Award 2024 as India's Top MSME Innovator

The award ceremony, held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, was graced by Hon'ble Minister Shri Piyush Goyal, Justice Pratibha M. Singh of the Delhi High Court, and leading figures from India's innovation and IP ecosystem. During the event, Minister Goyal reiterated the government's commitment to advancing India's innovation-driven growth, stating, "Innovation is the key to India's march toward a Viksit Bharat."

The National Intellectual Property Awards, organized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and the Indian Intellectual Property Office, celebrate outstanding contributions to India's IP landscape, fostering a culture of invention, commercialization, and global competitiveness.

WBCIL's recognition comes on the back of a robust innovation strategy spanning over six decades. With 15 patents filed and 9 successfully granted, the company has commercialized novel formulations across APIs, mineral complexes, and liposomal nutraceuticals, serving both domestic and international markets.
