Born in the Golden Gate Barrio of Phoenix, Arizona, as Arnold in 1942, Arlina's path has been one of immense challenges and triumphs. Her memoir delves into the struggles and victories of her life, offering a powerful testament to the strength of the human spirit.
A LETTER TO PAWTONE is not just a personal journey; it's a beacon for all who seek to overcome their circumstances and live authentically.
Serving as a lifelong employee of the US Postal Service and in the US Army during the 1960s, in 1973 Arlina received gender reassignment surgery as one of the first in the US to make this change.
Her lifelong love of music and media is highlighted in the book, providing a rich cultural context to her journey.
Through her story, Arlina hopes to ignite the spirit within others, encouraging them to live their truth and make a difference in the world.
