Expanding the Central and Eastern European Food Market, Zhangzhou Enterprises Participate in GIFT SHOW POLAND

The 2025 GIFT SHOW POLAND was held from March 11th to 13th at the PTAK Warsaw International Expo Center in Warsaw, Poland. This year's event attracted over 20,000 professional buyers and visitors from Central and Eastern Europe, including 3,200 professional buyers, marking a 28% increase compared to 2024. Among the attendees, 75% were wholesalers and retailers from Poland and neighboring countries, 18% were professional importers and distributors, and 7% were procurement representatives from e-commerce platforms. New business categories included cross-border e-commerce and green supply chain enterprises. Under the theme "Taste of Zhangzhou, Journey to the World," the Zhangzhou delegation organized 19 enterprises to showcase products spanning food, handicrafts, and household goods.

During the fair, representatives from institutions such as the Polish Asian Chamber of Commerce and the Central and Eastern Europe-China Import and Export Chamber of Commerce were invited to engage in on-site negotiations with exhibitors at the Zhangzhou pavilion. The delegation also conducted a field visit to Poland's GD Mall, the largest hub for Chinese products in Central and Eastern Europe, to gain in-depth insights into local warehousing, logistics, store operations, and market demand. Through exchanges with merchants in Chinatown, Zhangzhou enterprises acquired firsthand information on food packaging and certification standards in the Eastern European market, laying a foundation for future product optimization.

The fair provided Zhangzhou enterprises with a direct platform to connect with Central and Eastern European buyers. Participating companies engaged with 1,300 professional buyers and secured intended orders totaling approximately USD 3.8 million. Ms. Li, Procurement Director of the Polish Asian Commerce Group, led a team to tour the Zhangzhou pavilion, focusing on canned goods, tea, and frozen foods. Ms. Li noted that the cost-effectiveness and supply chain stability of Zhangzhou products align well with Eastern European market demands, and she pledged to facilitate long-term partnerships between more Polish enterprises and Zhangzhou businesses in the future.
