BARC Study on SCM and APS Systems for Medium-Sized Businesses


A study conducted by BARC GmbH in cooperation with the University of Würzburg, evaluating nine Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Advanced Planning Systems (APS) for medium-sized businesses, highly recommends ICON’s SCM solutions. According to the study, ICON provides innovative ways for companies to operate their logistics supply chains more efficiently and flexible.

The study emphasizes ICON-SCM’s multi-site and multi-tier planning and collaboration capabilities, enabling an entirely integrated and responsive supply chain. It also states that ICON’s solution is very user friendly: Excellent graphics support makes users quickly feel comfortable with the system. The study highly recommends ICON Supply Chain Management for companies in the computer, electronics, and automotive industries looking for an APS system to enhance their existing ERP system. ICON-SCM is a modular solution that can be used as a point solution for critical processes or as an integrated end–to–end solution to cover the entire supply chain.

The study compares nine leading products for supply chain management (SCM) and advanced planning and scheduling (APS). Its provides medium-sized businesses with basic information on the scm market and assists in finding an appropriate SCM or APS solution. The study was published in Oxygon Verlag.
