ICBAI Launches Global AI Skills Standard with Certified AI Essentials Course
International Certification Body for Artificial Intelligence (ICBAI) Launches Global AI Skills Standard with Certified AI Essentials Course - London, UK - March 14, 2025.The International Certification Body for Artificial Intelligence (ICBAI) today announced the launch of its flagship certification program, Certified AI Essentials (CAIE), designed to establish a global standard for AI literacy and skills validation across industries.
As organizations worldwide accelerate AI adoption, the need for standardized AI education has become critical.
A recent Microsoft study found 66% of leaders now consider AI skills essential for new hires, while AWS research indicates 9 out of 10 business leaders expect to fully implement AI solutions by 2028.
The CAIE certification addresses this growing demand by providing comprehensive foundational training for professionals across all sectors who interact with AI technologies - from procurement and management to development and implementation.
"AI isn't just transforming IT departments; it's fundamentally changing how every business function operates," said James Asterly, ICBAI co-founder.
"Our mission is to equip professionals with the practical knowledge they need to leverage AI effectively while understanding its limitations and ethical considerations."
The CAIE course offers:
A practical understanding of AI in everyday terms
Hands-on experience with current AI tools and applications
Guidance on responsible AI use, including privacy and bias considerations
Strategies for identifying AI opportunities in various workplace contexts
Frameworks for evaluating AI solutions and their potential impact
The certification is particularly timely as new regulations like the EU AI Act place increased responsibility on organizations to ensure staff AI literacy.
Article 4 of the Act states that "Providers and deployers of AI systems shall take measures to ensure a sufficient level of AI literacy of their staff and other persons dealing with the operation and use of AI systems."
CAIE is structured as a two-day program, available through flexible online learning paths that allow professionals to progress at their own pace.
Upon completion, participants receive internationally recognized certification, validating their AI competency to current and prospective employers.
The CAIE certification is available now through the ICBAI website (https://icbai.org) with special introductory pricing available until May 22, 2025.
Corporate packages are also available for organizations seeking to upskill teams.
