Events at Ting Irie: For Di Best Time and Vibes

Laidback and electric, chill and dynamic, relaxed and energetic - that is the essence of the Jamaican vibe and exactly what awaits you at Ting Irie, the premier Jamaican restaurant and lounge in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

You don't need to hop on a plane to Jamaica to experience authentic island culture. Walk through the doors of any Ting Irie in the UAE and come alive with the pulsing afro beats, the interior's warmth and colors, and the redolence of spiced meats smoking on the grill, awakening your appetite for Jamaican food and drinks.

Every day is a party when you visit during one of Ting Irie's signature events.

Important note: Events at Ting Irie are seasonal and have specific branch availability. Package or ticket inclusions may also change without prior notice. For your convenience, contact the Ting Irie branch you intend to visit to ask about the events available on your planned visit date.

1. Ladies Night
Ting Irie has a special event for the ladies. Come with your best gals to Ting Irie Downtown Dubai in Souk Al Manzil on a Wednesday for Dubai Ladies Night. Ting Irie Pon Di Beach in Mamsha Al Saadiyat, Abu Dhabi, has a similar event, which is also available on Wednesdays.

Ladies can choose between the basic and bubbles packages. The gents can come, too; they can get the kings package.

Each one comes with one starter, one main, and one side. How about starting with pepper shrimp or oxtail coco buns followed by a chicken, fish (e.g., escovitch), or vegetable main served with your choice of side dish - maybe roasted plantains or skinny fries?

Unlimited drinks for three hours are included; the drink selection varies depending on the package.

2. Happi Hour
It's a happy thing when you can get 50% off excellent Jamaican food and drinks. At Ting Irie Pon Di Beach Abu Dhabi, it's happy hour indeed between noon and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. Meanwhile, happy hour comes when the clock strikes noon and lasts until 8 p.m. every day except Saturday at Ting Irie Downtown Dubai.

Come with your best pals and buds to graze on a selection of likkle bites and drink tings at only half their regular price. You can also enjoy the view of the sea from the beach and get up and sway to the beat of the house reggae music.

3. Comedy Night
A bellyful of laughs can make every ting irie, so visit Ting Irie Pon Di Beach in Abu Dhabi for Comedy Night, currently happening every alternate Tuesday from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Watch Abu Dhabi's top and up-and-coming comedians take the stage and work the crowd.

The venue is the perfect size for some lighthearted schtick. Chuckle at witty quips, savor sharp puns, and laugh out loud at well-delivered punchlines - all while you sip on colorful island drinks and nibble on tasty Jamaican snacks.

The ticket price for this event includes two free drinks.

4. Skankin' Thursday
Skank out to ska and reggae beats every Thursday, 8 p.m. to midnight at Ting Irie Downtown Dubai. Between bouts of skanking, munch on oxtail sandwiches or chicken fingers. How about some butta corn or mini Oman burgers? Push dem food along with some rum punch or a jelly coconut mocktail.

5. Jamrock Brunch
Damian Marley, the second youngest child of the icon Bob Marley, calls Jamaica Jamrock. His song "Welcome to Jamrock" addresses sociopolitical issues and names the responsible parties. It goes to the root of Jamaican identity: courage and resistance.

Feel the authentic beat of Jamaica course through your veins during Jamrock Brunch, available every Saturday at 2-6 p.m. at Ting Irie Pon Di Beach in Abu Dhabi. Dance to the music from a live band or a DJ (or both) while you enjoy unlimited drinks and your Jamaican food faves.

Inclusions vary according to the package. Your package can be drinks-only, food and unlimited house drinks, or food and premium drinks. Packages with food inclusions come with an appetizer, one side dish, one main, and a dessert.

6. Throwback Sunday
Every Sunday from 8 p.m. to midnight, Ting Irie Downtown Dubai hosts Throwback Sunday. Retro is the name of the game, and everyone is expected to play.

Bust out your running man, Biz Markie or Dougie. How about a Roger rabbit, a Tom & Jerry, and fly girls? Show 'em all your old-school charms.

Go all night with a three-course meal. Start with a Rasta green salad or flamin' wings, followed by oxtail and beans with a side of coconut rice, and end on a sweet note with a slice of chocolate cake for dessert. Enjoy your food with free-flowing drinks for three hours.

The Party's On at Ting Irie
If you're in the mood to party, make your way to Ting Irie Downtown Dubai or Ting Irie Pon Di Beach Abu Dhabi. With its outstanding selection of Jamaican food, delicious drinks, and reggae beats, every likkle ting is gonna be irie.
